If You Were Casting a Romanov Movie - Which Actor Would You Choose?

I must admit that I have not seen that movie...is it good? Is it more like Romanovy or Nicholas & Alexandra?

in Tsarubitsa, there are two main characters Dr. Smirnov, and Timofeyev. Timofeyev thinks he is Yakov Yurovsky and the man who murdered Alexander II.
It's a bizzare but interesting movie.

I love Freddie Finlays Alexei. 
It showed a boy who was wise and mature.    Even though he was not really aware how things were in the real world.

So, I think I already made some comparisons, but I have a lot of fun finding more. Actually, one of the following is the same comparison I made before. I just thought I'd make it again. Okay, I don't actually have pictures of Alexei, Tatiana, and Alexandra to compare them to, but I do have the celebs pictures.

I thought this actor (Seth Adkins) looked A LOT like Alexei. First time I saw him in this movie, I was shocked:




And then this actress (Camilla Rutherford), I still swear looks LOTS like Tatiana:


And this isn't her best picture, but I think Caroline Goodall looks A LOT like Alexandra. If you want to see what I mean, I would say watch the movie "Hook" or "Schindler's List". (She plays Schindler's wife). Then you will see what I mean!

Yes the boy might get away with playing a young Alexis but not the Alexis past around 8 years .. as for Caroline Goodall she might also get away with a younger Alexandra but not Alexandra as she grew older. She looks too young to play the older Alexandra.

I think Christain Bale is one of the best.  I believe he's in the one called "The Mystery of Anna."  I think that's what it's called??  I

It was "Anastasia The Mystery of Anna" One interesting thing about him is he is the only boy who played Alexie to grow up to be an adult actor. I would be curious if you put him in a beard and mustache if he would look like he could play Nicholas.

I guess you could put a beard on any male and have him play Nicholas. It wouldn't mean he looked anything like the real Nicholas though. Alexis never looked like Nicholas so even with a beard there would be little resemblance. As for Christian Bale with a beard he would look nothing like Nicholas. The worst piece of casting I ever saw for Nicholas was Omar Sharif. It was so very wrong.

See Reign of Fire and you'll see Christian with a beard. I don't think he looks like Nicholai but he could certainly pull it off acting-wise!

For me, I have not seen the Russian film Romanov but now that I hear such amazing reviews I must see it! For me the best acting-wise was absolutely Freddie. Though I am certain my opinion will change when I see Romanov.
