Kulkovsky appears to be in some type of uniform, indicating that it would be while they were staying at Ai-Todor, not after they had reached Denmark.

The date, August 21, 1917 is written on the back of the photo.

Thank you for the 1930's portrait. Olga and Kulikovsky looks wonderful there. When older, the "last Grand Duchess" become too thin.

I personally think that Olga Alexandrovna had a very unique beauty to her.  She was an especially beautiful child too I think

That's a very sweet and beautiful picture, I've never seen it. But whoever colored it got a few colors off. Both Xenia and Olga had brown eyes like their mother. You can see this in their portraits by Serov. Also young Olga's hair was more golden than brown, not dark like Xenia's. They are both pretty in their own way.

Yes, as a child Olga A. was not that plain. As she got older though, most people would say that she was. Anastasia looked like Olga A, and there have been debates on her beauty or lack of it as well. Both had interesting personalities anyway, whatever their looks.

I have always thought that the later, last pictures of Anastasia, especially the profile one in Tobolsk, favored Olga a lot. I think she may have looked like Olga had she lived to be older.

This was a very happy and devoted family. Thank goodness Olga had some happiness.

The fact that Olga was able to have some happiness makes the tragedy that befell her family less horrific. I always felt badly for her and Xenia, and hopefull, both found some peace.

Xenia had a toghter life because she was more a Grand Duchess of Russia than her sister Olga, who had a better second marriage.
