This is another interesting book by Alexander Bokhanov which was first published in 2003. It discusses the various Romanov family members who had diverse careers and interests. The descriptions are based on diary entries and personal letters penned by various Grand Dukes.

I can recommend it if you can read Russian.

Not a picture book at all. There are almost 400 pages, but only 44 pages are photos. Most of the photos will be familiar to AP users. The text is exclusively in Russian, and is concerned with the extended Romanov family beginning in  the 1850's. I would not recommend this book to anyone who does not read Russian.

The book relate most about the love's histories and scandals of the Romanovs. It is detailed and anecdotic, written in a popular way, very easy.
