I can understand why you wouldn't want music. It would be as if it was actually made then and there. It's more of a documentary film...as apposed to one made purely for entertainment.

Those sculptures are magnificient...I must say especially Anastasia's.

The sculptor may have made Alexei's right ear look funnier than it actually did, though most photographs seem to tend to favor his left side.

The materials for my memorial are collected but I obviously didn't get it finished by the 90th anniversary.  Stopped here to commemorate it anyway.  Am still planning and will let you know when I complete something.

I have seen something recently with the same theme by two middle school students, though I think they abandoned the site.

I am wondering if something similar to both of the above ideas is possible, perhaps to be done in Spala, or at least somewhere significant in Russia? If interest was great enough, would it be plausible that the government/region officials would approve of a public monument of stones such as this? I think it would be a fantastic idea, if only people were interested.

Really neat!  Are the pictures just put in plastic sleeves taped to the stump, or in more permanent form?

I'm doing a YouTube project about Alexei's wish to have a monument of stones. All you do is send me a photo of a pile of stones you yourself have made for Alexei. I'm hoping to compile at least one hundred (wishful thinking?) photos into a dedication video to be released on the 91st anniversary of the execution.
