I also like very much this portrait, it´s Anna Maria Luisa, the last of the Medici, who married "Jan Wellem", no children...a pity...she descents directly from the Magdalena of Austria line....

That I am not understood wrongly, in the first sentence I meant, some I have copied as own paintings....surely they originally are from famous artists, copying them is only my hobby...

Archduchess JOHANNA (1547-1578), youngest daughter of Emperor Ferdinand I., wife of Francesco Medici

I read that there were rumours about Archduchess Johanna being thrown down the stairs by her husband's mistress, Bianca Capello? Does anyone know more about this?

Well, the last Grand Duke of Tuscany of House of Medici, Cosimo III, had only one daughter. She was named Anna Maria Luisa de'Medici (b. 1667, d. 1743), and she married Duke Johann Wilhelm of Palatinate-Neuburg. House of Medici extinguished in XVIII century, just like all of its collateral branches.

However there could still be someone who's very distantly related to them among European Houses...who knows...

A portrait of Anna Maria Luisa de Medici, who didn't have any children:

Ich aber breite trauernd aus
die weiten weissen Schwingen,
Und kehr' ins Feenreich nach Haus -
Nichts soll mich wieder bringen.

Most if not all of European Royal Houses are descendants of the Grand Dukes of the House of Medici...just imagine all descendants of Catherine and Marie de Medici who became Queens of France...

However,if you thought about "only" male descendants there are still today Princes of Ottajano who are called Medici di Ottajano(also Dukes of Sarno) and according to "some ancient historians proofs" as the genealogy site says they are collateral branch of Medici family...

Here is a link where you can follow their line from the Princes of Ottajano to the first known Medici(through red letters):

http://genealogy.euweb.cz/italy/medici7.html

Papa Leone XI is also from Ottajano line and was born Alessandro di Ottaviano de' Medici as well as popes Leon X and Clemente VII...

Here is also one more link to this Medici line:

http://www.nobili-napoletani.it/Medici.htm

Here is also a link about Ottaviano de’ Medici di Toscana di Ottajano who wrote a book about his family:

Those facts are known...almost every royal House in Europe descended from Medici family in one way or another...
