I didn't see another thread devoted solely to Faberge's beautiful artwork. Most of the threads were focused on the current location and survival of the eggs, exhibits, or regarded forged Fabergé pieces. I felt his work deserved a thread of its own.

While staying with my godmother in January i was lucky to see a couple of pieces of Faberge in person.  The craftsmanship was wonderful.  On was a pendant and the other was a bracelet.

As well, in topkapi palace, there is a wonder Kvosh by Faberge which is enormous.  It is probably nephrite but I am not sure.  It has a wonderfully large diamond in it.

Isn't that the truth! I was going to post a timeline, but the three books I have disagreed about the dates and the even the names of the eggs in one book.

Thank you for posting. You find the most wonderful photos and portraits! It is so unusual (to me at least) to see a photo of Rasputin in an elegant Fabergé frame. His image just seems out of place in that frame.
