It is indeed one of the Delaunay Belleville cars from the Imperial Garage. Kegress was Nicholas II's personal chauffeur for years, and did in fact invent the first snow system for cars

Go to the Tsarskoe Selsky Automobile Sport Club link on the main APTM website, they have more information on Kegress than anyone could want!

It's an interesting photo - an imperial train is visible behind the trees. The cars are also worth closer attention. Do you have a larger picture to post?

Mike

Both cars in the Stavka photo are the Delaunay Belleville SIM Phaetons with the roof and side windows removed for warm weather.

In Posting 46 (Dimitri Pavlovich and car), what sort of car is it? I read somewhere that Dimitri was very keen on cars and had no fewer than five. Does anyone know any more about this?
