Sorry, I can´t see the resemblance either.....but you´re right about the last picture. It is such irony!

I believe THIS is a striking resemblance :)

I'm really surprised.  I superimposed Medvedev picture over Nicholas II and the only difference I found was the shape of their heads.  Eyes, nose and mouth seem to be at the same distance.  I remove Medevedev's irises because he was looking to the side.  The bottom part of Nicholas eyes are smaller than Medvedev, still they both are very similar.

OMG, I think we found another survivor! LOL

But seriously, I do see it. The features are very similar. Once you get past the beard and the mustache. I would have never thought of it myself, but now that you have pointed it out, I definitely see it!

My cousin has an astonishing resemblance to Nicholas. I think everyone here would be astonished. I will ask him if I can post a photo! :)

Supposing this Medvedev was related to Nicholas II...how would that be?  I mean, by what line of descent?  Just curious.

Well, I'm pretty sure they'd have some sort of proof and it would be well known if he was of direct descent from the Romanov bloodline. So if he is somehow related to Nicholas II, I would assume he could be a descendant from an illegitimate child of one of the Romanovs. There are plenty of cases of illegitimate children from this family, I think even Tsar Alexander II had an illegitimate child.

Well, lots of romanov "spread their seed" in their time .But he doesnt have to be related to Nicky to look like him...just a funny and bizarre coincidence

Agree with Katenka.
However, they are not identical, but they are similar....surely they are not related.

I can't see any resemblance (though I could say Pres. Medevedev looks a bit like Mr. Bean!).

Some people just coincidentally look alike without having relations in bloodlines.

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

Ha!  Wouldn't it be something if Medvedev, Nicholas II, and Mr Bean were ALL distantly related??  (grin)

Well, they say that everyone's related if you go back far enough. Prince Michael of Kent looks like Nicholas II, I think. I don't see that Nicholas looked much like Medvedev.
