May 2008 UPGRADE COMPLETED!

I am sure that a lot of you noticed that we were in maintenance mode for the last 36 hours or so.  We were "hacked" last weekend, despite our security system. As a result, we needed to protect the server better, and at the same time upgrade the Forum software for better security, better screening out of spammers, and generally faster and better functionality.

Walt, our IT guru/wizard/genius/go to hero spent literally the entire 36 hours working to have us up and running as soon as possible.  He originally said it would take all weekend, but thanks to his AMAZING efforts and skill, he had us back on on just a day and a half instead of four days!!!

A big THANK YOU and hugs to WALT for his work!  I hope that you all take a moment to appreciate how much time and effort went into this upgrade, and appreciate Walt for  his dedication and generous volunteering of this time to make this happen for us all.

KUDOS WALT!

Please let me know if you find any glitches, bugs or gremlins lurking in the new software.

Wow - I'm so glad that you were just "updating" - my computer crashed a few days ago and when I finally got it back up - the FIRST thing that I bookmarked was this forum - but horrors, it said I had an error and
after fiddling around for awhile, I decided that I was doing something wrong with my sign-in!  Finally figured it out when you came back online! 

So glad to have the forum back - like Laura and others, I never realize how much I depend on it until it isn't here - let's not ever take it for granted!
