Hey Helen & Londo954,

I've been trying to make plans for a while via VIA rail and Amtrak. It seems that they love to make me frusterated.
First I tried to book a train from TO, to Cincinnati and that was a no go. So then I tried to book a seat from TO, to Buffalo but apparently there is no train that day. I just got my Truck running (P.O.S F-150) since my VW Fox is still not running.  Whenever I try and see how to get from Buffalo to Cincinnati I get this error :

Problem Finding Service: Sorry, We cannot find any trains for the stations and/or time(s) you requested. Please try an earlier time, a different travel date, or alternate stations/cities. [Error ID: 108A]

Hmm... I might just drive the truck down. It'll cost me a small fortune in gas since it guzzels it down like no tomorrow. But at least I'll get there.   :-[

SO much grief.. If I had the money I would book a plane.
But so far.. this friday is a go..  :)

Thanks for all your help guys! Really.. it means a lot to me!  :-*

It takes longer but you could try Greyhound bus. You are supposed to go anywhere in teh continental North America for 99.00

Laura,

Good luck, I hope you can get there.  I am going on April 30.  I can't drive because I had knee surgery recently but I managed to talk my DH into driving me down from Michigan to see it.  It is a 6 hour drive for us.

Hey Holly!
I hope you get to see it as well! It's unfortunatly that such an amazing exhibition such as this is coming to a close. So far, my plans are to see it this Friday.. but if all else fails, I'll be going down probably the 28th - 30th.

If my luck fails me, I'll see you there  ;D

I saw the exhibit last week---on Wednesday.  It was well worth the trip from Kansas City!  I spent 4 hours going through the entire exhibit several times, finding something different that was especially moving or interesting each time.  The whole experience was much more personally moving than I had expected.  So I'd definitely recommend going to anyone who hasn't yet.  I asked about the little poster that I saw displayed, but the docent said that they'd given them all away...  It wasn't big or on expensive paper, but would've made a great souvenir.

I also visited the Taft Art Museum on my very short trip----a very distinguished collection in a beautiful setting----and they had a Faberge box!   :)
