Sometimes it does get annoying or aggrevating,
But only really to me because it's repeated over and over.
I don't mind reading the stories about Anna Anderson,
And thinking about how she almost even pulled it off...

if she is so annoying, why do people keep putting up new posts on her? There are plenty already on this forum.

Poor Anna....she was a lousy version of a Polish princess, let alone an elegant Russian princess.   A total fraud and not even a good one.  No wonder the remaining Romanvs ignored her.

There was a time that I was kinda convinced she was real but that was when I believed in Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairey.

When I first heard of Anna Anderson, I believed it too.
But I was only eleven years old then...and very naïve...

Even I used to believe it could be AN, when I was 12 and there wasn't much info out there, and this was years before DNA testing. Since I've seen through it all I try to point out things AA supporters don't to help people see through it. The more you investigate the more there are holes the size of a semi in her story and the claims of her supporters. But really, if everyone else would just shut up about her I would too and it would be a relief. Until then, the AA police remain on duty.

When I first heard of Anna Anderson, I believed it too.
But I was only eleven years old then...and very naïve...

The thing I could never understand (and frankly still can't understand to this very day) is all the hubbub and ruckus raised by both her supporters and the press as to how this woman looked so much like the real Anastasia in pictures taken at the time.

What am I missing? Maybe it's just me, but the lady looked nothing like Anastasia Romanov when comparing photographs of the two.

Now, perhaps Miss Anderson would resemble Anastasia to an impartial observer after the person consumes a number of straight shots of vodka...but that's a whole different story entirely.

Thanks SGC  for the challenge.  I drank four shots of Russian vodka.   Wait 45 minutes.  Compare photos.   Wow....they're absolutely, IDENTICAL.

Then I looked in the mirror.....I looked exactly like Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt!

Anastasia Romonov had fine refined lips but Anna Anderson had the sort of lips lips that remidned me of the autobahn on a wet wednesday.

The interesting part about AA to me is that apparently even Anderson herself eventually began believing she was indeed actually Anastasia. Pretty sad when you think about it...

I think you are right, she defintely believed she was  her at some point.Certainly, her photographs show no resemblence to Anastasia, but some people did think that. In some, very few photos, she looks a bit like Tatiana, but that might be her hairstyle, what she is wearing.I get kind of tired of hearing about AA too, but for anybody new to the Romanovs, it is important to remember she was not Anastasia, and to examine her story, etc from the right perspective.I first read about AA when I was 11. I never did believe in her, because the first book I ever read about her was the Lovell book, and that book doesn't present a convincing picture of her claim.

I've always thought she didn't look like Anastasia. She doesn't have the same structural face and AA's lips are way bigger than AN's. But, I have to admit, when I first read all the things she knew about the family, I was kindda.. stuck. At the begging, I didn'nt had an opinion about her, and I think that if some people thought she had a slightly ressemblance with AN, it was maybe due to 2 facts :

1. Media always choose pictures when AN and AA do the same facial expression and the look-a-like because of that
2. People who saw that for the first time doesn't have the aknowledgment to reconize Anastasia like us. We can see how OTMA were different, but people who never heard about the Romanovs can't make the differences between them !
