Yes!!! it still is !!! I've seen it at Pelisor castle in Sinaia or at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest -can't remember exactly where ... :)

The date in the photo - right bottom corner - says 1892. So, it's before marriage.

She looks like she's in mourning. If it was 1892 I wonder if it was for Prince Albert Victor of Wales or perhaps Grand Duke Ludwig of Hesse.

There is also one of Victoria Melita dressed alike, and the photographer is Backofen of Darmstadt, so maybe they were in mourning for Ludwig of Hesse as GDElla suggests
