Thissal, I think it's very true that often times dogs look like at least one of their owners.
We were for a short time on the show ring circus, I really enjoy the movie, BEST OF SHOW. And, more
often times than not, one of the owners looked a lot like their dog.
Our Irish Settler took blue ribbons at all his showing accept one, the one I showed him. When the judge came to
our dog, being a tipical friendly Irish, the dog turned, raised up on his hind legs, place one paw
on one shoulder of the judge, and the other on the judge's other shoulder, then gave the judge
a big wet kiss. That was the end of my handeling career.
I was asked to start this thread sometime ago because I have one on the Russian Royal Family members. So, it
looks like we have one started, now.
Hohenzollern
Kaiser Wilhelm II
That last one is wonderful!
The other portrait of Kaiser's Family

The story I heard about the borzoi in this photo was that he was recommended to the Kaiser
that a more manly dog was needed for this particular official photo. In other words,
some thought the public might think less of him if his dachshunds [Teckel or Badger Hound] were shown.
The Kaiser's favorites were the dachshunds. Not so, however, with many of his guests.
