The Queen's Christmas message - 2002:



I am being ever such a nosey parker I know, but who is the dark haired woman in the photograph on the table behind the Queen and next to ones of George VI and QEQM? Is it perhaps a young Benedikte of Denmark or maybe a Bowes Lyon cousin?

That was the year that Her Majesty lost both her mother (March 30, 2002) and sister (February 9, 2002). The photo is of Princess Margaret.
