I have only seen one photo and one sketch of GD Catherine,so this portrait-reproduction(although black and white) is the best I have seen from her!So,if you find it...some day...please post it!

Duke Georg zu Mecklenburg was Grand Duchess Ekaterina Mikhailovna's and Prince Georg of Mecklenburg-Strelitz's grandson. Firstly he was married to Irina Michailovna Raievsky and secondly to Archduchess Charlotte (Karl II Habsburg's daughter).
He had three children from his first marriage and none from second.
I would like to know, who was Mr. Hassan Sayed Kamil, who was married to George's second daughter Helene. They had one daughter Sheila.

Natalia, Countess von Carlow died on 14th May,1921 in Cannes. Duke Karl Michael her late husbands brother died on December 6th 1934, while the sister Helen (the long widowed Princess Albert of Saxe-Altenburg) died on 28th August 1936 and is buried near her brother at Remplin the family property in Mecklenburg.

Since I have recently made a connection between The counts of Carlow and the magnificant palace Oranienbaum, I would like to ask how come that GD Karl Mihail didn't married. Was he perhaps linked to some princess or not at all?

Karl Mikhail was Duke not Grand Duke aka Duke Mikhail Georgievich of Mecklenbourg-Strelitz. He really never married and none of Russian books on the Romanovs and their relatives ever mentions a reason why he was a single person. Possibly he was a sort of a bachelor like GD Dmitriy Konstantinovich happy to be a good uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Yes, it can be a good reason.
But, I don't know, well since you mentioned GD Dimitri, is there perhaps possible that GD D and D KM were homosexual? Is there in those Russian books on the Romanovs, you mentioned something written about this posibility? I'm asking this here because unfortunatly I don't have acces to many books on the metter, so, please, don't get me wrong.

GD Dmitriy K. was a woman-hater but nothing pointed out that he was homosexual. And Duke Mikhail is a complete mystery.

Do you ask about Duke Georg Alexander (1921-96) who was married only once? Or about his father Duke Georgiy and his 1st wife Irina Raevskaya? I have a photo of the last in one of the books on the Romanovs but that's from a private collcetion so I can't post that here.

I meant Duke Georg and his first wife Irina Raevskaya. Irina's mother was Princess Maria Grigorjewna Gagarine, so she was of noble birth. What about her father Michael Nikolajewitch Rajewsky, was he of noble birth to?

Of course he was of a noble birth, the Rayevskye are nobles.

There were 3-4 branches of the Rayevskie, and spouse of Duke Georgiy belonged to the most famous and wealthy branch.
