They were about the same height. But it looks like Alix is taller here:

Thank-you for all the help. when you look at black & white photos, everybodys hair look dark or darker than it really was. so thaks for letting me know what it was really like  :)

althought i did never heard her laugh or her voice i love her!!

Did Ella had a deep voice if she speak ? i know that VHM had a laud voice. I think Alix and Irene did had a quite voice
