I have just found a french website about the Romanovs, and there are few colored pictures... I know some were made by Holly because of the watermarks on them but I saw credit to her nowhere...

This person has also made others websites, each one dedicated to one of OTMA; it seems the title on the coloured pictures she posted were written with Paint..That's why I am starting wondering that's weird... These websites are also in French...

I would be very surprised if Raegan Baker (who is a longtime member here) did not get permission to use that colored photo for the cover of Olga's dairy. That said, I've just looked through my copy of the book and there's no indication as to where that colorization came from.

FYI: It's my understanding that Raegan Baker had NO say in nor control over the cover image on Olga's 1913 diary. (This is standard procedure in publishing.)

However, I've just spoken with Lanie and she confirmed that is her colorization, and that Gilbert's Royal Books did NOT request her permission to use it.

She's having trouble loading the AP forum today, but she's grateful to you guys for spotting her work.

I have also found several coloured pictures done by AP members in a Czech magazine History revue.... They simply download them from internet...

Yes, if you search at Google, you find many and many coloured pictures ...When I started discovering for the Romanovs, I saw so many coloured pictures that I thought they were the real  version pictures of the Romanovs ...

I'm excited about the diary but upset that GRB, from whom I've bought lots and lots of books, did something this unprofessional (and perhaps illegal).  And it wasn't even a good picture!  You'd think they'd pick a better one!

That page is soo weiiird...There s a picture of Alix of Wales with bertie in their wedding day and it says that is czar Alexander & Dreuxandra! xD (Thats a bit insulting..Bertie has NOTHING to do with Nicky...good god!)

I found plenty of our pictures on myspace. I wrote thousand messages to profiles' owners but they didn't credit them.
