I'm in contact with one of Elisabeth's granddaughters. She once sent me some photos of Elisabeth as an adult. In my opinion she wasn't a beauty, but a good-looking woman. Even as an old lady, she had a smart appearance and seemed to be happy.

I guess I have never seen pictures of Clemens Joseph as an adult except for the one Rani posted. This photo was published in a book about the Wittelsbach-crypts by Hans Rall. As far as I know he worked as an art historian and was quite close to Jean-Louis Schlimm as the author once mentioned in an interview about Sophie Charlotte d'Alencon.

At wikipedia you can read that he was an art historian and unmarried. Don´t know why. I think both of them are quite unknown. A pity.

I see a lot of photos of Louise in family groups, she must have been a very active old lady.

An excellent photograph. She wears the tall tiara she wears in the early years. I suspect it might have been part of her dowry or wedding present. She later wore a big floral tiara in her later years.
