I wouldn't call that any 'common decency'. Most people actually don't check their links beforehand.

Well, then most people don't have manners! (**Shocked**) Remember this is a forum where you neither can edit your posts after 30 minutes have lapsed, nor delete your posts altogether - and moderators strongly urge us to preview our posts and don't make unnecessary posts clogging up the boards.

I think people get more annoyed by broken links than for example misspellings, which can be very charming unless one is disrespectin' a culture or other language by misspelling a name or proper noun.

I admit one can be a bit more lenient in the Having Fun section, but in the serious sections it's a grave sin! (**Crazy eyes**) That's why darling Eric Lowe is such a mischievious court jester, our very own imp...

Of course previewing a post is important, but in the six years I've been a regular of this forum, I've never noticed any huge ongoing issues regarding broken links. Incorrect grammar, spelling and the usage of internet slang (which is supposed to be off limits) has actually been the bigger annoyance. Considering that this forum is, above all, for educational purposes (it has been used by students) the clarity of a post is more important than any broken link. But let's not get too off-topic!

Holly, thanks for the offer. I have two ones, which I like to be coloured. But these are two photos with young and handsome Naval Guard Officer N.D. Semenov-Tjan-Shansky in whom I'm interested now. Maybe it's not exactly about OTMA (your subject-matter), but anyway.

Can you help me? Or if you cannot, maybe someone else?

I'm not just all about OTMA. I also find Victorian/Edwardian anything incredibly interesting. So any vintage photographs are great.
