Marie-Catherine, you can get the same effect when you color cheeks pink. When you're done coloring the face, go down to a more reddish color using a brush that has blurry/faded edges and then go across the cheeks with that using 'overlay'. I never use overlay I always use multiply at a low opacity because I think too much pink on the cheeks looks too unrealistic but it's up to you. Some people here go over faces and other parts of the picture with a blurring/smearing tool which might make the skin look shinier or smoother but it's easy to over use that tool and if you do the picture looks more like a painting than a picture.
