The faces are impressing; the spitting image of the Imperial Family. But I have some problem to accept the way the artist painted their bodies. They seems somewhat not to fit the faces. But I like it a lot, is a nice painting.

This painting wasn't done with the family in front of the artist obviously. The artist modeled this painting after different photographs of them. They used photographs from a particular trip on the Standart for the bodies and then used a different inspiration for some parts of the clothing. The backdrop is supposed to be Livadia. He used this same technique in a different portrait with a similar backdrop and the family in court dress.
