Anastasia's figure/A thick waist?

I agree with you, Ortino. But why wonld'nt she say something about Marie too? And why would she worry about something like that at a time like their imprisonment?

Marie was as baby and little child chubby, you know they called her 'Fat bow wow', But Maria lost some weight, i think she said nothing because Anastasia was always a little but thin, And Maria always a little bit chubby. But you know, this are my taughts.

I thought that all of them would have gotten thinner in captivity, especially while imprisoned at the Ipatiev House. I don't know how much food they were given, but I imagine it wasn't very much.

Anastasia was very short, which I think was one of her biggest problems. I think shorter people are prone to gain weight easier.

It's true.  And also, she was only 17. She would have grown out of baby fat. Maria was already almost an adult.

i agree. i'm shure that they were given food, maby not alot... but enough food for them to live on. that would be horrible if they ddint' have anyfood. i would be like FEED ME!!!

It works both ways with that. I am short myself (5"1) and know from experience. There are short girls (me included) who tend to gain weight easily and those who are very tiny and thin. It depends on the person really, not necessarily their height.

yeah some girls don't eat because of being to big. and some can't control it. i agree it is on their personality.

How tall was Anastasia during the imprisonment?

I'm not that tall, I'm 5"5, and I can gain weight fast if I force it on myself, but I try to keep in shape by excersising everyday and not eating too much, I guess Anastasia did get chubby because she didn't excersise much!

Nicky was sort of short and had a bigger bone structure wasn't he? (Although he was muscular and being male, did not need to worry about looking 'dainty') I think it might be that. I am 5'4 and a lil bigger but I also don't have that tiny bone structure. Maybe she was like that?

My dad is very tall and has a big bone structure, and so do I kind of, so yea I guess Anastasia probably got it from her dad, maybe Marie did too?

i didn't think girsl did exsersize back then? did they. i wouldn't think so. well besides tennis. and that was just a sport that they played. did alexei play tennis as well?

There was a little part in "Nicholas and Alexandra" where they breifly said Alexei coudn't play tennis (I think) I don' know why, but it always stuck in my head.

We also have to remember what kind of ancestors Anastasia and Marie had. Alexander III for example, was HUGE and muscular. People often commented about how Marie was "big boned" (if there really is such a thing) like her grandfather. It may just be that Anastasia and Marie took after their father's family while Olga and Tatiana took after their mother's. That's the way it is in mine. I think though it just had to do mainly with eating habits and lack of exercise.

That's how it is in my family. My sister and I take after my dad. We are not large, but not thin, wheras my younger brother and younger sister are both have a smaller structure to there body. That is how ot was for Olga, Tanya, and Alexei. I think Anastasia and Maria's bones were differently, as in their shoulders and hips went out farther. Even if they dieted and excercised, they would never look like their siblings. (This is my oppinion)

I agree with you completely, Ortino. In terms of body type, Olga and Tatiana must have taken after Alix and Marie and Anastasia after their father. Nicky was a small man, but he was also very athletic.
