Jen) Nice find there with the castle! Is it just me though or does the opening in the 1896 photo look wider than the door that seals it off in your current picture?

It's not just you! I've just had a look at it now and it does a little, unless something to do with photo angle?

I live a few hours north of Balmoral and it's beautiful in that area!

You are welcome. It's amazing how they preserve that izba, and even found the authentic furniture for the interiror - the original beds of the Emperor and Empress and many other items.
