Since Maria had full lips, I decided to put this here: How come back then people thought full lips detracted from one's looks?

And now the opposite of this is happening. Ladies would imitate Angelina Jolie's lips just for them to look pretty. Maia's lips don't look full for me. It looks thin but not as thin as her sisters. She still looks very great.

I think it´s just one of many aspects of actual fashoin. Maria was chubby, stout girl with full lips, huge eyes and blush to her cheeks in time whne willowy, pale and thin was considered to be the most perfect look for a woman.

Marty, did you read about this on Imperial children in alexander palace time machine? I just like to ask did Ania Vyrubova see Maria a bit ugly ? It's just because she said Maria's rather thick lips detracted a little from her beauty.

This is what Anna Vyrubova said in her memoirs that you can find on the main site:
"She was inclined to be stout and she had rather thick lips which detracted a little from her beauty."

thick-Tatiana

I don't know why, but I don't consider her lips to be very thick. It's kind of wierd, but I think they are just like normal lips with a bit more thickness than others.
