Alexander III and Nicholas II both had "full lips". Maria also happened to take after her grandfather because like him she was very strong and solid too (I never would say that she was fat). I don't believe that Maria had thick lips, and definitely not so much as to make her look "less pretty". She just had the thickest of her sisters.

She was fatter than her sisters when a girl, but when she was growing up she was only strong. As for her lips, I always found that they added to her beauty. I've said it before but Nicholas II four daughters where really beauties, even if they were different kind of beauties.

She defnitely had :) If you compare her to her sisters, you can see she had large and beautiful eyes. It´s particularly shown in 1906 photoshoot.

Yes, I saw that picture you're referring to. She really has the biggest eyes in her family.

But on other pics, her eyes were just moderately big.

It´s nto just photos. Practically everybody remembering Maria mentioned her eyes as beautiful and huge.

I have always thought that the Indian Actress Aishwarya Rai has similar eyes to Maria's. That's maybe because they are huge and beautiful too. It may give you an idea how Maria's eyes could look like:

With comparison to Aishwarya Rai's eyes, I think both their eyes are alike (but not so).
