As I read Ludwig Victor seemed hated Elisabeth, while Karl Ludwig who had hoped to marry her in the beginning of the 1850s was more or less indifferent. As wells as Maximilian I think, that was his belgian wife Charlotte who resented Elisabeth.

Elisabeth disliked most of Habsburg family except her husband, children and brother in law Maximilian.
But I mean, that only Ludwig Victor and Charlotte didn't like her. Ludwig Victor had very complicated and malicious charatcter, therefore many people from the court (not only Sisi) shivered against him an his intrigues. Franz Joseph said about his youngest brother, that he always meddled in affairs of other people.
I think, Charlotte considered her for something less, because she was far more rich bride (daughter of King Leopold I. of Belgium), then Elisabeth ever was. Charlotte was perhaps jealous, that despite of her qualities, Elisabeth was the Empress, not she.

Itmight have been caused by the two women´s characters. It´s the same as to ask why most members of the ROmanov family didn´t like Alexandra.There was just something about her that made her different andthey were not comfortable with it. I also don´t think Sisi was too tolerant and probably didn´t care about what other´s thought about her.

Well, Charlotte was very proud of the fact that she was daughter and grand daughter of kings, while Sisi was only a duchess in Bavaria. That's why Charlotte looked down on Sisi, because of her "humble" origin.
But there was also a certain rivalry and jealousy regarding their beauty. Each one of them wanted to be the most beautiful woman in court.
In adittion, Charlotte was jealous of Sisi's position in court as empress, while Sisi was jealous of the good disposition Archduchess Sophie showed towards Charlotte.

Yes...Charlotte had the Coburg ambition, she could not understand Sisi lack of interest in her duties as empress.
