Fake Tatiana
« on: November 30, 2017, 05:37:42 AM »
Maria (“Moussia”) Viktorovna Sila-Nowicki (Moscow, 25 January 1895 – Paris, 2 August, 1959) - in 1917 emigrated to USA and announced that she was Tatiana Romanov who escaped from Russia. Some kind of Tatiana's personal Anna Andersen.  Moussia's daughter Natasha Borovsky is an author of novel "The daughter of nobility" where she writes about Tsar's family too.

Does anyone knows anything about any  other fake Tatianas?

These usually go in the 'The Myth and Legends of Survivors', but how do you know she claimed to be Tatiana? I typed her name in and the 'fact' doesn't come up.

(To everyone, this Maria was the wife of Alexander Borovsky, a Russian pianist)

Can this source saying she was the woman mentioned in the paper as 'Tatiana' be trusted? It's the first time she's ever been mentioned as a claimant, but I remember reading that Tatiana herself read that article in 1917 and her whole family thought it was amusing.

She bears some passing resemblance in my opinion...particular that second photo.

Certainly more than most of the Romanov impostor claims.

The nose, lips and cheekbones in particular.

None of them were, at the end of the day.

Vague resemblance ,but not much . Just another one to add to the collection of rubbish imposters (ie all of them). Isn't it seemingly easier for females to pass themselves off as other females ,as opposed to males attempting to do the same ?

Is there any evidence that this woman even claimed to be her? It's like people calling Larissa Tudor insane for claiming to be Tatiana, but she never did, someone else dragged her into the Romanov claimant pool just because she looked like her.
