Well.. Okay...
To be honest, aside from picking up words on the IF here and there, I would not have thought the film was about them.
There wasn't many scenes with the IF either... well, to be exact, there was one scene, which I think was OTMA. It looked like this:
It was (I think) the Grand Duchesses dancing around and throwing petals out of baskets.
I didn't once see this scene:
Which is depicted on Nena's link, and quite similar to the idea in the scene I saw.. with the exception that Nicholas II and Alexandra were not in it.
I double checked what I viewed, to be sure I didn't see a film with a similar title.
What I came up with was this film:
http://www.film.ru/afisha/movie.asp?code=GSPOFCRThe title of this film is "Господа офицеры: cпасти императора/Save the Emperor" which was filmed in 2008. The film that Nena linked to was called "Господа офицеры: Cпасти императора/Save the Emperor", which was also filmed in 2008. So, as far as I know, they are one and the same. The storyline of the film that I viewed was about: (taken from Ozon.ru:) "A group receives special task to release from captivity the family of Nicholas II. The situation is compromised by one who is leaking secrets of the General Staff which leads to double game."
Aside from the scene above which I screencapped, and the mention of Nicholas II in the plot summary, this film has nothing to do directly with the IF.
So... in conclusion, if these films - the one I viewed, and the one Nena's talking about- are one in the same, which I'm still unsure of, only because of the total lack of NAOTMAA in it, then it's not really worth the time watching. Unless you just want to watch a historical drama on the Red Army against the Whites.
I think Nena did a WONDERFUL job hunting this down though! If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have known about it, or viewed it. A HUGE HURRAH for Nena. I appreciate your detective skills. If it wasn't for your keen eye, I'm sure there would be tonnes of films I wouldn't be aware of. Thanks Nena!
I would love to hear other views, or if someone finds out any more information on the film, please let us know.
