Attention Jeniann: I am reacting SOLEY to your utilization of the word "Imperial." Perhaps you are not aware that from 1876 to 1947, the United Kingdom's sovereign was also "Emperor/Empress of India", thus was "Imperial" as well? So the word "Imperial" is appropriate to THEIR title/s during that time period, which encompasses the very short reign of HM King Edward VIII. In his "Instrument of Abdication", he renounced "..... the Throne for Myself and My descendants." (Obviously, I understand that you are in actuallity referring to the RUSSIAN Imperial title.)
