Tack! Jag har alltid funderat över detta! I vissa böcker står det storfurstinna i andra storhertiginna. Jag har sagt storhertiginna sedan jag var liten. Det beror nog på att de säger storhertiginna i den tecknade filmen Anastasia. Tack för att du rättade mig! :)

Inget att tacka för. :-) Jag har också sett att det i några böcker står storhertiginna, men jag tror att det helt enkelt beror på ett översättningsfel. Hur som helst så är det ju inte direkt livsavgörande. ;-)

On Bulgarian i understand it Сийам....Tina how do you understand it?

Oops, I'm sorry, I didn't see this one - I was on ski course with my classmates for the past week, so... sorry again. :-[ As the subject is closed (I believe, as Siham wrote the write pronunciation herself), I just wanted to apologize I didn't answer this, normally I do always reply. :(

Well... first time I saw it I did read Сихам xD , and I thought it was right xD xD , so I've read/pronounced it like this ever since. I never thought about Siham being French and how the name was pronounced in her own language. I'm very glad she explained it... now I won't pronounce it wrong anymore. :)

Tsar - tsaari
Emperor - keisari
Empress - keisarinna
Palace – palatsi
St. Peterburg - Pietari
Winter Palace – Talvipalatsi

Grand duchess – suuriruhtinatar (actually duchess meaning “herttuatar”, and princess is "prinsessa" or "ruhtinatar", but in finnish “prinsessa” is daughter of king. Example Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolajevna is “suuriruhtinatar A.N.”, Princess Sonia Orbeliani is “ruhtinatar S.O.” and Princess Alix is “prinsessa A.”…) Complicate! :)

Alexander Palace - Aleksanterin palatsi
Catherine Palace - Katariinan palatsi

Tatiana – Tatjana
Alexandra – Aleksandra
Nicholas – Nikolai
Elizabeth – Elisabet
Alexander – Aleksander (but example Alexander III – Aleksanteri III)
