« on: February 01, 2009, 03:10:35 PM »
Hello Everybody,
This is my frist post and I am not to sure if this post belongs here, but i have a pin/brooch and the topic said Imperial Russian Antiques. Ok no more rambling on,so here is what i have to say.A few years back i was at a local flea market/swap meet and I found a pin/brooch that cought my eye. It in the shape of a cross and it has a double headed eagle on it. I notice right away that it was the Romanov eagle, so i bought it for 25 cents(american) and went home to do ressearch.Well i couldn't find any info in books or the internet, but i did find out who made it.It was a company called Coro Jewelry and that the mark on the back of it is from 1919. Coro Jewerly made costume jewerly so I know its not real, but I was hoping maybe someone would know more about it.
Here is what it looks like up close

This will help you with the history and the stamp of the Coro marks but if you have dated it to 1919 then perhaps a memorial type design as WWI ended in 1918!  I have seen the pin on EBAY but someone else may can help more with the design...
