I remember to read in one site that Leopold I had several mistresses while he was married with his second wife, the queen Marie Louise... is it true?

i dont know but it was rather common for kings to have mistresses. It was kind of  uncommon if they dont have any.

One of the most famous was Caroline Bauer, who resembled Princess Charlotte of Wales (Leopold's first wife).

Very interesting. Well I asked that because I read on some site that he (Leopold I) had several and was exposed the idea of him leting her (queen Louise Marie) her die not minding when she asked him going to a warmer place for recovering her health.
Any portrait of that lady who resembled Pss Charlotte?

But not the usual depiction which the bride & groom stood in front of the priest (look at the wedding portraits of QV, KEVII, Princess Louise & Lorne...etc). That is why I say it was unusually. Mostly the signing of the contract is out of sight (notice Charles & Diana's wedding).

It's very beautiful XD Thanks! I read that the death of little Louis Philippe was quite hard for his father, this even made him to remember the pain that he felt when his beloved first wife Charlotte died at bearing her baby.
