Re Postings 15 and 17:  IMO, I feel that the large emerald-cut central stone in the center of the choker is most likely an aquamarine, not a diamond.  Regards,  AP.

is strange cause it seems to have two colors in the second image and it looks like diamond in the first one. I like that kind of jewelry.

I think it looked like an aquamarine choker, a diamond that big will be very overpowering. I like it as it is my favourite stone.

Nice ! Most arquamarines are light blue in color and sometimes not easy to see (unlike the darker shade of blue in blue topaz).

The first episode of a program about the DRF's jewels has just aired here in Denmark and it was really good. Queen Ingrid's ruby tiara + set (which she passed on to Frederik who gave it to Mary) got a lot of great coverage and Queen Margrethe told that she 'loved seeing it' on the Crown Princess.
Next sunday at 8:00 pm, next episode will be sent and it'll feature the Romanov jewels as well as Princess Olga Romanoff (granddaughter of Grand Duchess Xenia and Grand Duke Alexander) will  appear alongside Prince Michael of Greece and Prince Michael of Kent to tell about the wonderful Russian jewels.

If anyone's interested, this will air next episode. Of course they're all speaking English, the narrator though, is speaking Danish.

Here's the link to the second and last part of the Danish documentary 'The Royal Jewels'. It mainly puts focus on the Romanov jewels and what happened to them.

Indeed. More should have been made about other royal houses.
