I've noted a few parallels too, Margarita. But I would classify them thusly:
Meg=Tatiana (the "in-charge" sister)
Jo=Olga (the writer, and the bluntly outspoken one)
Beth=Maria (artistic, sweet natured)
Amy=Anastasia (precocious, spoiled, and wanting to be the center of attention)
Of course there are some notable differences between both quartets, too. But it is tempting for those of us who grew up with Little Women to find the similarities.
In fact, I'd say that because the Romanov sisters numbered four, I was all the more drawn to them--perhaps subconciously--due to my earlier appreciation of Little Women.
