I was looking through my word files and found this poem.  After reading it, I thought it would be somewhat appropriate to post here.  Happy Birthday Aleksey.  You're in our prayers.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

Thanks Daniel, but I did not write that poem :) that is the lyrics to the Josh Groban song "Remember Me" from Troy.

Hatred – this is a disgusting feeling. Yes, there is sport gambling, there is a striving to win. But to hate someone – this is awful! I think, that first of all you have to learn to respect your rival. -- Evgeni Plushenko

Actualy it was written around a 1000 yeard ago by a monk of priest (I'm not sure). When I finshed reading it at the funeral the priest leading the ceremony came up to me and told me. Aalthough it's altered during history, but the main part hasn't chenged.

I didn't mean yours Lyssa ;) I meant the lyrics I posted.

Happy birthday sweet little prince
Tsarevich Alexei Nicholaievich

"Happy Birthday" means much more
Than have a happy day.
Within these words lie lots of things
I never get to say.
It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I'm proud of you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of you
on this very special day,
Happy Birthday.

St. Tsarevich Alexei would have loved these early birthday wishes.  His birthday falls on July 30th on the Julian calendar he grew up with, and August 12th on the Gregorian calendar most of us are familiar with.
