 :)  It's definitely the thought that counts and certainly the dear Tsarevich-Martyr would have been very happy with everyone's outpouring of tributes today.  But I was under the impression that  Alexei's birthday falls on July 30th not on our Gregorian calendar but on the Julian calendar, which dates things with a difference of thirteen days.  On the Gregorian calendar, wouldn't his birthday be celebrated on the 12th of August?

HIs real birthday is August 12th in our calendar. Because in the other calendar today its 19th July. So its not still his birthday. But happy birthday anyways.

Today (12 August 2004) is Alexei´s Birthday according to our calendar so I decided to do a kind of Birthday card like the ones you give a friend and all the other friends write a message and sign. After all  its not your not 100th birthday everyday.
So I thought we could add here messages like if this were a card we could give to him.
