Yes, she didn't consider herself a lucky person, in fact I think that she considered herself an
unhappy one.

Yes, famous phrase of Sissi, but being honest i still think if Sissi would really be happy with FJ not
as an Emperor, she didn't love him at the time of their engagement and I doubt that he loved him more after
their wedding

I think Sisi fell in love with him physically and romantically. The early years between the couple was harmonious enough, their only disagreements were based on the children & Archduchess Sofie.

And that made a great difference to them that damaged their marriage forever, I think that if the
archduchess wouldn't took any attitude or action they would have perhaps a happier and better relationship
between them

Sofie was a dominerring mother beacuse of her nature and misguided loyalty to her family. Sisi later realised this but the damage was done.

Indeed true, she wanted more to keep the intererests of the Empire or the dinasty more than the
personal interests of her children

Yes. There is a sad dignity to that, and later Sisi asked Archduchess Sofia for her forgiveness on her death bed realising that her dominerring ways were not due to self interest. I think they manage to reconcil before the older woman's death.
