It seems it was a Hungarian dress. She still looked good but gone are the decollecte. She wore a kind of Tudor neckline here.

i dont know. The date on the newspaper says 1895 and the paper was from 1895 so...i think that s the accurate date or circa.

I saw that date (1898) on a portrait of her through the time, that pic appeared on the center with
the date 1898 below it, surely it comes from 1890's

I think its from a ball Sissi attended in 1986, when the Tsar Nicholas II and the Tsarina Alexandra went to Vienna for a State visit. Its was said, she rival even the youngest pretty girl there. She also wear along her black ballgown, black pearls and black diamonds.

It does not look like the dress worn to meet Tsar Nicolas II & Alexandra. The drawings showed Elisabeth wore a much lighter looking gown that that heavy Hungarian outfit. I suspect it was from the anniversary celebration of their marriage.
