Had he lived until 1991 it would only support him in his deluded belief in AA.

Yeah, it would Ally. Since there were two missing bodies it would give him all the more "proof" that Anna Anderson was Anastasia.

Me neither, although I think they were cases when Nastya claimants and Alexei claimants "worked together", so to say. I remeber that somewhere I read that one Nastya claimant (can't remember the name right now) and one Alexei claimant arranged some sort of scene: they "accidentally" met at a party, and then the fake Nastya (if I can call her like that) said: "You are Alexei Romanov, my brother.", and the fake Alexei said: "And you are Anastasia Romanova, my sister"...

In movie 'Anastasia - Mystery of Anna' -- 'AA' stated she survived, leaving her loving brother to die. So, if it is true, she never said Aleksei survived. His body was labeled as No # 2,   gender :male ;  aged 50-60;  height: 171-177.

Mexjames, you must live a pretty isolated life to be so overwhelming prejudiced and uninformed.  First, displays of affection have never been  acceptable social behavior in many cultures all over the world. LONG before communism was even heard of.
And, the rule of law and discipline in communist countries was indeed based on morality, right & wrong. The authoritarian regimes  may have gone, but the laws have stayed, much as they were BEFORE  communism  came onto the scene.  Most are even based on the Napoleonic code.

How would AA know? She was not Anastasia nor was Alexei her brother. Loving or otherwise.

Robert_Hall is right. Yes, she screamed and was crying in movie, how she could have left her brother in that unfortunate gunfire...

I know that, I know she wasn't Nastya, what I meant is that I never knew she did it (crying and screaming in the movie). I never saw that movie, and I doubt I will ever watch it. It'll just frustrate me... :) Oh, and btw, sorry if that wasn't directed at me. I often misunderstand some things. :-[
