Yes :)However I must wonderf why there are not more from 1899 with baby Maria.... I know it was a time of mourning for Grand Duke Georgyi, but still... there is only ONE known picture of Alix alone with Maria - and she´s not even holding her new born daughter...

I think Western authors just don't bother to go to Moscow to find new ones. (Can you blame them?)

I agree with Ally.....If it depends on me to go.....I would spend even nights scanning and looking...... The truth is that when you want something you are going and doing it if Western authors want it they would go...

There's some truth in that, but you're overlooking significant barriers: the time and cost of travel, of research, and of paying GARF for the right to publish photos and documents from their collection. It's entirely possible for those costs to add up to more money than an author might make on a book about the Romanovs.

So that's why I think Russian books are a bit better about them, even contains more informations, or photos? Am I right -- Sarushka would know better, though. Are GARF archives in Moscow, or in St. Petersburg? I think some archives are in every bigger city of Russia, Mogilev too, for example.
