This is a very interesting subject. This part of the message board is more interesting to me than most others. I learned much from it, and encourage people to contribute their opinions. Some of this information comes from sources I haven't read, don't have access to.It shows that although we think we know everything about OTMA, we really don't. Often, we just stick to the conventional information, and don't look further-The subject isn't a bottomless well, but there is always more out there.

I am  not about her fist love, not about her second. I am about a man for whom she had tender feelings, not being totally, as I guess "in love": Chakh Bagov, I already spoke about. I found about him some information in the shorts memories of Ivan Beliaev, a wounded, and in the precious Chebotareva's diary. Perhaps would that be intersting for someone.
From Beliaev: "The GD ON had "her" wounded, the young brigader of the Erevan's Regiment, a lovely young man, very shy, as a little girl. It was evident that he was totally in love in his nurse. He became very red every time he was looking at her. (... Chakh-Bagov returned to the war). Lovely ON became very sad, (...), her eyes was red because of the tears. How is that all understandable, so nice!
(Chakh-Bagov was once more wounded and came back to the lazaret) And I remarked that ON was in good mood, that her eyes were bright as usual...

From Chebotareva's diary, in July 1916.
ON seems to be seriously attached to Chakh-Bagov, and it is so pure, so naive, without any hope. She is a strange, original girl. She do not want that anyone know her feelings. It was evident only with very tenders notes in her tone, when she spoke to him, when she for example told him (such and such). When he returned to the war, the poor girl sat more than an hour and was sewing, saying nothing, her nose in the sewing-machine.
She also related somewhere that when they received the letter where he asked for coming back to the lazaret, Olga took the letter, and in a great joyce throw it with "hourrah" or something like that. We found also his name in the Empresse's letters, she wrote that the girls were cleaning the instruments with Chakh-Bagov and others.
It was in 1915 and 1916. I do not know the first name of this young officer, and did not find any other information. I think he was an armenian, but I am not sure at all.

It is very interesting reading about this?  Does anyone have anything else they want to contribute ??? I had not heard of this until I saw this thread, so I guess I don't.

Yes, it seems that Paul Voronov did at least, which is nice to know. ;) Too bad Carol could not appreciate Olga's charms-but then their personalities were different, and we know his taste in women. ;D

Prince Carol did not have a crush on Olga, neither did Boris.  They were both considered for marriage, obviously these possibilities did not work out.

No these two men were simply dynastic matches that were considered. Carol, for one met Olga and didn't find her attractive and to his liking. As for the other guy, I don't know how much he saw of her, or what he thought of her, but he generally preferred women who were altogether different than Olga.

I think the proposal came from his mother anyway, who I think made it for one of two reasons - political ambition, or to get on Alix's wick.

I was very touched when I read this post.  One can't help but feel for the Grand Duchesses in this subject (Olga and Pavel Voronov, Tatiana and Dmitry Malama etc.).  I think it really shows that aside from being royalty, they were just human beings with feelings like everyone else.
I think the fact that these very real feelings were never allowed to progress makes for a very bittersweet part of these girls' lives'.

Thank you Matushka for your tenderr sharing on this private girl's emotions. To read about her, in this context is almost to want to have been there and offer every shelter if only to allow her to maintain her privacy. She and her siblings were robbed of so many things, so early in life. It almost seems that much more invasive to read about this part of her feelings, etc. But then again, its how hopefully we may learn to treat others in our lives around us, known, and unknown.

Thanks again.

Yes, I don't think that the Grand Duchess Vladimir was any fan of Empress Alexandra, it would be interesting to know the reasons behind this idea of him marrying her. He ended up marrying morgantically.

I have found the full text of the letter which was mentioned in the first topic - letter from GD Olyga to Rasputin, in which she referes about her first love - Nikolay.
This letter was in the book of 1925 about Badmaev.
If somebody is interested in this letter, I coud write it here.
But of course, in this letter there was no family name of the hero.

Here it is:
Moy mily, dorogoy, lyubimy drug.
Tak zhalko, chto davno tebya ne videla.
Chasto ocheny hochu tebya videty i mnogo o tebe

Gde ty budeshy na Rozdestve?
Pozaluysta, napishy mne pishymo , ya tak ikh lyublyu ot tebya poluchaty. Kak pozivayut tvoya zena i deti. Pomnishy, chto ty mne govoril pro Nikolaya, chto ne nado slishkom, no pravda, esli b ty mog znaty, kak eto trudno, kogda ya vizu, to uzasno. Prosti ty menya pozaluysta, ya znayu navernoe eto ne ocheny khorosho, moy dobry Drug. Day bog mama dorogaya v etu zimu ne buden bolyshe khvoraty, a to eto budet sovsem strashno grustno i tyazhelo.  Tak byvayu rada videty ot vremeni do vremeni ottsa Feofana. Raz ego videla v novom sobore v Yalte. Nasha malenykaya tserkovy zdeshy uzasno milenykaya. Do svidaniya dorogoy ocheny lyubimy drug. Pora pity chay. Thanks. Is that autumn 1911, or 1909? How do you think, who is otets Feofan? Is that Feofan Bystrov, episkop Poltavsky, who was a long time spiritual father for the family, before he stop support Rasputin?
