Thanks so much, Sarah! Holy moly, $48 vs. $150...hmmm LOL. Well I have e-mailed this Estonian company to ask first how much shipping would be to me, if it's reasonable then I'll go from there. Shipping from Gilbert's is not too big a deal for me since I live in the same province and it's $10, but the price is just too much for me right now.

I was wondering if anyone has experience with a site called Biblio-Globus.usa. I would like to buy this book from that site. At just over $70 USD, it's not as cheap as the Kriso site in Estonia mentioned previously but the Estonian site doesn't say how much they would charge for shipping and this site does, and it's not too bad. Anyway would appreciate any references if you've heard it's a good place to buy from or not (site is in English too but the company is based in Moscow). Thanks in advance.

I was wondering about this book as well.  Gilbert's is always higher and his shipping to the US and other countries is explosive.

To the US s/h is $25 and that makes the book $175 USD.

I just got Helen Rappaport's book from Amazon for about $19 including s/h and Gilbert's wanted $45.

However this book about Ella is in Russian and I was wondering if non Russian readers will enjoy it?

The whole cost including S/H is $49?!?!?

I don't understand the Euro very well, but the book is 36,32  EUR  and the S/H is 7,67 EUR.  Added together they totaled 36,81  EUR or $49  USD.

As I said I don't understand the addition, but the book will be in stock in about 4 week and will come to me about 2 weeks after that.

Let wait and see...........

Judging by the preview images I've seen at Gilbert's and Ozon, it's likely that anyone who enjoys photographs of Ella Fedorovna will appreciate this album. The only text I've seen so far is in the captions, which you can often puzzle out if you learn the cyrillic alphabet.

the book has only a short introduction and short captions in Russian...a very beautiful and treasured addition to any Romanov collection :-)

If you add the 36,32 + 7,67 it equals 43,99 EUR which is more like nearly $59 USD. Still, including shipping that is cheaper than any other source I found. For instance:

Gilbert's = $150 USD (not including shipping)
Eastview = $137 USD (not including shipping)
NK Books = approx. $90 USD (including shipping)
Biblioglobus = approx. $83 USD (including shipping)
Ozon.ru = approx. $79 USD (including shipping)

I bet the book is sent by surface mail (as European post offices still use Surface mail -- as nearly 8 Euros is not a lot for postage and a book going overseas to the US would be a lot higher ... as postal rates in Europe are higher than here in the US)

I just did too ... same price (and we won't charged until the book is sent.)  It is possible that the store gets a lot of orders to go to the US - and they might use a Courier service where the books are given to the USPS and sent that way. 

Fingers crossed that the dollar goes up again at the time of the charging!

Those figures that I quoted are from my order confirmation.  I would have added it the way that Sarai did, but the bookshop sent me the total value and they said that 36,32 plus 7,67 equals 36,81.  So I am going with them!
