Possible that Tatiana is the one snapping the photo here? If so I love how she captures Marie talking to what appears to be an officer (surprise surprise!), and it looks like we see Anastasia and Olga from behind and off to the left. Is that the Empress seated in a chair over to the right...a woman leaning down to speak with her?

Nice!..but it's so perfect I wonder if it's  a photo shop creation...it seems to be floating with no real shadow.
However even so it gives a good idea how the uniform  would look

Correction! That photo is new to me. I looked at the head and shoulder photo of Marie in uniform  I have seen before and  this is different . Thank you again!

When I first saved a copy of Maria's uniform photo years ago, the file was labelled 1913 and it seemed plausible to me. To me her face looks rounder and younger than in wartime photos. Is there a letter or diary entry perhaps that would confirm the 1915 date?
