Well she may have wanted them but at least she paid for everything she got despite the rumors we have to smack down on her all the time.

CX apparently wanted to get his hands on them for repayment for putting his aunt up--Xenia and Olga probably would've gotten zilch from that. The Windsors gave them an allowance, paid market (or above) price for the jewels and signed over their shares of Hvidore to Xenia and Olga.

Xenia was GV's favorite cousin.  He protected Xenia & Olga.  Nothing on the shady side to place with regrads to the Windsor's and Dagmar jewels.

It was the "non-Royal & non-family" outsiders who took advantage of and "ripped-off" the inexperienced and non-business savy Xenia & Olga!

How did CX treat Olga? I know she was forced to leave following WW2 but did she have any contact with the Danish court prior to that the way Xenia did the British?

Olga remained happily in Denmark until being forced to leave due to the Communists having their panties in a wad for her being there. I believe she had minimal contact with the court although she doubtless remained in contact with her cousins.

She did have some contact with the court. I found a group photo from 1948. Olga is behind Haakon.

She was also at the wedding of Princess Margarethe (Waldemar's daughter) to Prince Rene of Bourbon-Parma.

I was mostly wondering how she felt about her cousin Christian X given the strained relationship between her and her mother or if Olga just went her own way.

Grand Duchess Marie Alexandrovna, was  13 years old when her brother Alexander and Dagmar get married.

Dagmar was only 6 years older than she. As Marie was the only sister  of his husband , did the two young girls became friends?

Dagmar left two sisters away, Alexandra and Thyra, all three where very closed, especially Alexandra and Dagmar, did Dagmar substitued them by her sister in law Marie?

Also, what kind of relation ship had Dagmar with her mother in law, Marie of Hesse? I have never read about it, and i never have see a pick of this two women together.

As for the relationship of MF and Maria Alexandrovna (younger) - I guess they were not on good terms becouse of the great difference in their characters and temperaments. I think they had no much topics to discuss  :-/...except of the court gossips and such like that :)

I thought they met through Affie's sister Alice when she was Grand Duchess of Hesse and Marie would accompany her mother (a Hessian princess) on visits to Darmstadt.

Yes, I just can imagine that they got along very well.  :)
Especially after Dagmar decided to marry Alexander, although Nicholas was her true love, right?

But, how did MA get along with Maria Pavlovna, she married Vladimir in 1874. I know that this question is not asked in the right place, but MP was sister in law to MF. ;D

Interesting question. I guess that in 1874-1881 GD Maria Pavlovna stayed in the background and played a role of a reverent daughter-in-law.

After MA and Alexander II died. Marie Paulovna stepped into the limelight and start making herself the second lady of the Empire. She was rumoured to be close to Bismark and the German fraction. In fact she was one who fixed up Foxy Ferdinand of Bularia with Eleanore of Reuss. It was then that Minny and Michen became really rivals.  ::)

Oh, yeah, she definitely stepped out from the shadow, didn't she? ;D

Are there photos of Marie Feodorovna and Marie Alexandrovna together or at some family gathering? I didn’t' saw not one photo of them taken together! :(

Nope ! I only saw a composite cdv of the four (Alexander II, Sasha, Minny and Marie A). I suspect that was done in conjuction with the marriage.  ::)
