The last I heard, she was in dry dock for repairs and cleaning. Is she out now then ?
In 1983, when the Quuen visited California,  we produced a commemorative plate featuring the yacht, which, in the end, she did not use because it was too stormy at that time. Still have some of those plates.

She took on a serious list just before being moved to the dry dock.  This was caused by a hole in the shell plating below the waterline.  Several areas of the interior were flooded.  Pumps were activated to de-water the ship.  As we can see the master of the port has ordered a tug to nose up against the hull to keep her from tipping over.  This is a precaution as she was not in immediate danger of rolling over.   Is anyone superstitious?

Not sure when  she will be out of the dry dock and fit for service.

HM planted a tree on the sandringham estate today to mark the 60 years of her reign accompanied by princess anne, she was dressed in a green overcoat and headscarf looking absolutley wonderful! saying "its terribly bleak out here theres nothing between us and siberia" shes right, im writing from quite near sandringham and its absolutley freezing!!!

if anyone can find pictures that'd be great, i cant seem to, but she looked so happy and smiley on the news footage!

also i got a copy of the radio times doing a feature on the jubilee and there was a nice quote from a letter sent by philip just after he and HM got married describing her as "the only thing that is real to me" or something like that- thought it was rather sweet!

Monday february 6th,BBC1 at 21.00 PM:

"The Diamond Queen"

Including interviews with Princes William and Harry on their grandmother... ;D

Looked like the beginning of a absolutely great series!!HM's children and grandchildren all have a say
and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by the appearance of Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice and their
contribution and comment on their Granny,as all the grandchildren call her throughout.

Absolutely worthwhile series!!

Next is monday february 13th at 21.00PM GMT.

Two new official photographs have been released:

The real unsung heroes of this world are people who plant trees, because they do not really ever live to enjoy them. I think its a wonderful tradition for the Royal family to plant trees all over Britain.
We have an oak tree in our town planted by the Queen Mum in 1947, and it is about 1 storey high now. They take forever to get to a decent size.

My friend Wendy (American born resident of London) just received her "invitation" recently :-)

Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right...

Apparently the middletons are recieving some criticism for trying to "cash in" on the jubilee...

I have written a series of reviews of books published in honour of the Diamond Jubilee on www.royalhistorian.com

So far, there are reviews of Robert Hardman's Our Queen and Sally Bedell Smith's Elizabeth, the Queen.

More to come!
