whilst in Manchester city hall the Queen's visit coincided with a wedding and she and the Duke Of Edinburgh both met the bride and groom- now thats  a day that just became a whole lot more special than it was anyway! The groom was being interviewed several moments ago , apparently the Queen was very charming and it was a priceless moment-  HM told his wife (Frances) that she looked very lovely- apparently the D of E asked about the honeymoon!

The Queen visitied Redbridge with her husband in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee where hundreds turned out. It was during this visit that Prince Philip made another classic oneliner when he asked a disabled trustee with a mobility scooter "how many people have you knocked down on that thing this morning" apparently it was all taken in good humour, both the Queen and the crowds erupted with laughter and the trutee said that "no offence was taken" and that it was funny.
