Look at the men behind O and T's hats how funny is that the one behind Olga looks like he got feathers in his eye!

That is the full picture. Tsarskoe Selo, Catherine Palace. They received the 148the Caspian Regiment; probably in 1912.

Making an awful face at the camera :D
Hmmm...that's labeled as Olga in Lanie's collection. Hard to tell for sure, if you ask me though!  ;)

Yes...It's Tanya. I like this pic a lot for it's one of the only ones where she is making a funny face to the camera. ;D I think that some people mistakes Tatya to Olga in this picture for her face looks very round. But it is only that she is filling her cheeks with air to make the funny face...Go on, Tanya!

How funny -- I'd never noticed that! There's one of the girls and Alix on the Standart where Tatiana is dressed differently, but I can't think of another photo where they're paired up this way (Olga/Maria, Tataina/Anastasia).

Actually, Olga and Tatiana dressed differently very often.. But because of the b&w pictures you can't really see it. I notice it a lot when I'm coloring that they have different ribbons, patrons, colors etc. Here are some pictures where you can see it clearly:
Different colors
Different edges
Different patrons
And here's a coloring where you can see differences too.

It's true some of the colors and detailing varied among the girls, but even in the photos you posted the basic design of the dresses is generally identical. You rarely see them dressed completely differently, and especially not outside of their usual pairs.
