What a stupid I made of myself, LOL!!!! I didn't read the "movie" thing...It must be almost an unknown movie, since I've never heard about it. I supposed it could be a movie, for the image was a too clear to ve one of the Tsar's...But who knows?

Perhaps, he looks different because on the first one we only saw his profile, but
looking carefully he looks as fat as the other of the second photo. Now he doesn't look
like real Nicholas. Were was produced that movie? I doubt that in Russia

I don't think it was in Russia, but somebody could correct me if I'm wrong.

I think you're right, if you look below the photo you can read the name of the director...Herbert Brenon, or at least is what I can read, I think that it's an English name (or German, maybe?)...

Herbert Brenon was an irish Director of silent movies. He had a good filmography

Here the IMDB of the movie with some pics

Thank you for the links!

In his biography is written that he died in Los Angeles and thet he was buried in New York, so probably the movie was produced in the United States.
I'm still wondering if the actor is the same of the photo that nena posted...

I noticed that in both Nicholas and Alexandra and Rasputin, Rasputin makes Alexandra get on her knees and beg, and she seems to be doing this in that snapshot.  Did that really happen, is it a coincidence, or did the directors of Rasputin copy off of N&A and the begging scene from this one isn't what I infer it to be?
