Because of what we're all discussing. And because of this:

When I was in St Petersburg some weeks ago, I bought a booklet with 32 postcards, called "The end of Rasputin". Edited by "First Russian Museum of Erotica of Prostatology Center of Russian Academy of Natural Sciences" (founded by Doctor Igor Knyazkin). So no wonder, that 4 of the postcards show what is said to be left of Rasputin, as discussed above.
The other 28 pictures show pictures and two drawings of Rasputin, that have been published already elsewhere.
Last week, when I was again in St P (that is the advantage living in Helsinki, a kind of around the corner) I noticed, that all booklets were sold out.

About the museum, you can try your russian on its website: prostata.ru
Under "Fotogalerei" you can find an interesting topic: "Rasputinskaja ekspedicija", with pictures of Rasputin's appartment, the place where he was murdered, where he is supposed to be buried first, the bridge from which he was thrown inte the Malaja Nevka.

There is a thread about Rasputin's  appendage here somewhere. It was very funny.   BTW, there is some serious doubt about the veracity of the latest claim.
Cheers,
Robert

Rijo, I tried to locate it as well. It was over a year ago I think, may be lost in the archives here. If I do locate it, I will let you know. Perhaps the FA can help.

Bob asked that the "appendage" thread be removed as he felt it was not appropriate.
