Why do you start so many threads about Ludwig II.? There has already been one about him and yesterday you started another one about the king and the Residenz.

Feel free to discuss about Ludwig II. if you are are interested in him. This is a forum, we are here to talk about royalty.

The only thing I wanted to emphasize is that we don't need THREE threads about Ludwig II. Of course, I won't delete anything that you've written. Maybe we can link these threads.

I enjoy all Wittelsbach's threads ,. and I don't see any bad in having just three of them consacred to King Ludwig II. I know - for my own experience - that when we enters in a Forum, you wants to ask a lot of questions and also wants to add all the info you has, including pics. It's also common that just a few old members attacks you pointing that lts of your questions had already been answered, that your info is already knew and that the pics you thinks are rare, are more common than anything else on the world. It tooks just little time for new members to get used to their new Forum, and to old members to know him/her and accept her as a new friend.

Just a little tolerance is needed to go ahead.

I like your posts Liljones, and I'm VERY interested in Ludwig II. I visited Neuschwanstein some years ago, and I love this palace a LOT. Keep posting pics. I anjoy them. Be sure of it.

Hello RealAnastsia,

being one of the moderators of the Wittelsbach forum, it is my job to keep the discussion clear. This means in general for every member of this discussion board that he or she should have a look at the existing threads before he or she starts a new one.

In this particular case we have already had a thread about Ludwig II. which was mainly about the mysterious cirumstances of his death. If liljones1968 wants to talk about Ludwig's castles and share pictures of their interiors, he is welcomed to open ONE new thread. But - and this is the point - if we want to keep the discussion clear, we can't have a thread for each of Ludwig's castles. In my opinion, one topic, for example "Ludwig II.'s castles", would be enough.

And, Anastasia, what I really want to stress: I absolutely don't have anything against liljones1968 or any new member of this forum. Every member is an enrichment for our discussion, every opinion is cherished. What I have written has nothing in common with intolerance - and, of course, I didn't "attack" him. I just  want to avoid confusion and double-postings in the Wittelsbacher forum I feel responsible for.

It's been part of the new policy (shown by the number of new moderators) to try and get some of the threads under control. This means merging threads when possible so that information isn't lost (because people don't know where to find it) or needlessly repeated.

I don't think Marie Charlotte meant any harm. It's just that the various moderators, on various forums, have spent countless hours merging threads to help out the participants of the Forum. Some of RealAnastia's concerns are actually ameliorated by the effort of such mods as Marie Charlotte. When threads are spread out all over the place, there's less snappishness on the part of other posters about repetitive questions, etc...

Brnbg, you know we love your photos and you always post such interesting ones--especially having to do with the architectural aspects of the royal lifestyle. They are much appreciated and they, and your insights, would be greatly missed. I was pleased to see you back after such a long absence personally!

Anyway, per her request, I have gone ahead and merged these threads under her suggested topic heading. I definitely hope that you will continue posting, Brian!

Hi  Liljones,

I like the pictures too!!!  And, thank you for posting them.  I never tire of seeing pictures of rooms, and drawings and outlinings of them;  so keep them coming!!!
The palaces and castles of Bavaria are all very interesting and important and we, as royalists, should be cognizant of them all.

I really don't see anything wrong with having a separate thread for each residence in any country we're discussing.  It keeps things from getting all bunched together and then not finding anything on the "Search" engine.
That's one thing wrong with this search facility here and also elsewhere on the WWW......
